  • Sky cover range in Hong Kong

There are three types of sky conditions including overcast sky, intermediate sky and clear sky. And it has been found that over 70% of the time in Hong Kong the sky condition is intermediate sky. The mean annual cloud cover ratio of Hong Kong is about 70%, and the average cloud cover ratio of the first half year (73%~82%) is much higher than the second half year (53%~65%).

  • Sky illumination in Hong Kong

The sky illumination of Hong Kong is pretty high. The lowest average hourly global horizontal illumination of Hong Kong is about 37,994 lux (January), while the highest can be about 50,522 lux (October).

  • Relative Humidity in Hong Kong

The average annual relative humidity is 79.6% and average monthly relative humidity ranges from 70% in December to 85% in March.[8]
