  • The building leave enough space for system maintain to ensure the system functions。

     Structural system
  • Maximize use of prefabrication, including standardized used freight containers and modular structural steel as primary structural components to reduce construction waste and environmental impacts.

  • Almost 100% of structural materials (e.g.modular structural steel memebers) canbe easily disassembled and reused.

     Landscape 1
  • The office is located in the coastal road and Qiao Ming Street junction, covers an area of 3600 square meters and makes full use of a vacant place under the Kwun Tong bypass elevated flyover. In addition, this green building is not only near the Kai Tak Development Area, but also close to industrial areas in Kowloon East.( Sociological)

     Landscape 2
  • Green street design, enhanced streetscape and good landscaping within the site makes the staff and visitors in this building to have pleasant experiences.( psychological)

     Landscape 3
  • The open space is under the Kwun Tong bypass. With  an open design, the space serves as  a public cultural establishment for multiple activities, e.g. music events and exhibiton. ( sociological)

  • The building block is set back from the street to optimize pedestrian wind flow.( physical)

  • The parking place enhances the accessibility for persons with disability. (physical)

  •  Quantitative spatial diagnostics

  • Almost 100% prefabricated structures can be easily disassembled and reused, which were transported from cities within 800km.
  • EKEO uses a piece of land of 3,600m2 underneath the Kwun Tong Bypass. And the gross floor area is 1,200 m2.
